Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a native of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father, a hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was birthed in Minsk 5 May 1998. Her career has seen her been awarded 12 WTA singles titles, including an Australian Open Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. In her role as a specialist in doubles She also took home at the US Open of 2019 as well as in the Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. Alongside the Belgian tennis superstar she was a WTA 1000s winner in Indian Wells in 2019 and Miami. Women's doubles only had four couples win this title. The Belarusian rose from second place to third on the world singles rankings on 23 August 2021. Her best ranking was achieved again in January of 2023. Following her victory at the Melbourne doubles tournament in February of 2021 She was able rise up the rankings to be the number one player on the list of that particular specialty. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) was her coach for a portion of the season in 2019 and from 2018 to the close of the season. The pair also briefly worked with Dieter Kindlmann from August to September 2020. She has been trained by her countryman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams is her role model, then Maria Sharapova.
